If the computer the CD is playing on is connected to the internet, the CD can have the ability to connect to a web address as well as send e-mail, contact forms and other specialized information.
Specialized Programming Enhancements Now Available !
The CD software can be configured for installation onto a customers hard drive
using a special install program that is configured in the CD
Coding. This means that one CD could, in theory, be used multiple
times at a company.
Another option would allow the CD software to allow
the user via the *internet to*:
1) check to make sure this is the latest copy of the CD software.
2) if not, fill out a short form with their information and then..
3) download a special install program to their hard drive which would
update
the CD Software.
The CD could be set to *expire* at a certain date and if expired,
the user would be directed to the above special link which would
allow them to download a new copy of the software to their hard drive
to install.
These features would require a special listen module be in place on Deltronix Enterprises Servers which would respond to the CD out on the internet. When a
'request' is received it would perform the needed functions (Check
Version/Update if necessary). We could update the 'CD Software' as
frequently as you desire, knowing that when people 'check for the
latest version' on the web, by using their copy of the CD Software
(either on CD or installed on a Hard Drive ), they would be prompted
to 'fill out a form', ( so you know who is getting the cd info ) and
then download the 'updated' program. This would mean that all your
CD's ( old and new ) turn into 'bots', ready to be installed on a
clients hard drive to be automatically updated with the latest
information when needed over the internet !
